Schiit Freya Plus Pre Amplifier Aug 2020 This is my Freya Plus Pre Amp I got this as the core component for my semi active speaker set up. It runs x4 6SN7 tubes in the following configuration. Output Buffer on the Left and Gain stage on the Right, rolling the Gain stage tubes will have the biggest effect on the sound. Right channel are at the rear and Left channel at the front. It has both balanced/Single Ended inputs and outputs. The outputs are available simultaneously. It has three modes of operation, Passive, JFET Buffer (0dB) and Tube (+12dB). I use it in Tube mode, but it's nice to have the other two options. When either of the other two modes are selected, the tubes shut down, so I can burn other gear in, without putting lots of extra hours on the tubes. It's a great Pre Amplifier, very quite in use and the 6SN7 has a nice tone.
